Performance-wise, the all-new 2023 BMW 3-Series is powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-four cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the 3-Series, but all-wheel drive is available as an option.
The 3-Series can go from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 5.5 seconds. It has a low center of gravity and a 50/50 weight distribution. The M3 models are powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder engine that produces 473 horsepower. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. An all-wheel drive is an available option. The fuel economy for the M3 is an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
